"You work for a Facility management company? Could you explain to me what the job description of the company is?” This question is one of the most common issues that colleagues receive in companies operating in Facility management all over the world. Therefore, let us briefly introduce Facility management and what its essence is. The definition according to EN15221 specifies Facility Management as a ‘multidisciplinary discipline that deals with the management of support activities of the company.’

The standard definition defines Facility management as the integration of activities within an organization to provide and develop agreed services that support and enhance the effectiveness of the company's core business. An article from 2013 titled ‘Fundamentals of Facility Management’, published by Ms. Eva Beránková on the website www.tzb-info.cz further states: "An integrated management system, as in organizations to reconcile work, labor and work activities, including the principles of business administration, architecture, humanities and technical sciences." The aim is to strengthen the organizational processes that allowed workplaces and workers to perform their best and ultimately contribute positively to economic growth and the overall success of the organization.

Facility management is focused on helping companies troubleshoot issues related to support activities to enable them to concentrate on their core business. At the same time, it aims to attempt to link the three core areas - the so-called. 3Ps: people (staff), processes, and place (environment) - and streamline their interactions.

About us

The idea to establish a Facility management company hit us in the spring of 2018. We wanted to use everything we have learned over many years from work and other experience, and share that for others to learn and grow. So, we cooked up something fresh, new, and especially our own.

The name "Taimi" comes from the Finnish language and means "seed". The company name perfectly illustrates the idea that slowly sprouted in our heads and grew into a form which we now introduce to you. Grow with us.
